In 2007 the vision expanded to holding the highwatch for the children of the world affected by war, poverty, and disease. Together we know a better future for our children and for our world.

Children can be nurtured by the Spirit of love and compassion and know a better life vision or fall into systems and patterns of anger, revenge, absence of light/good/God, separation and illness--poverty of mind, body and spirit.  If we think of how growing up with abuse or severe lack of some sort can affect and individual, it seems that people  become strengthened by their struggles and break the cycle by embodying the opposite of their struggle or fall into the mentality and negative energy that created it.  This year's CFC will be standing for the victory of light that is already present within each of these beautiful children in Africa, the Mid East, the USA and throughout our world.  We see the Spirit of life guiding their way and nurturing their spirits.

Why Africa?  Did you know...

1. Every 14 seconds a child loses a parent to AIDS.
We affirm: The Spirit of God is manifest as comfort and support everywhere now.

2. One third of the entire population of South Africa is HIV positive.
We affirm: Nothing is beyond God's ability to heal.

3. Only 10% of the 15 million African children orphaned by AIDS are receiving any kind of public support.
We affirm:  There is an abundance of love and support in this universe. We empower each other to follow our passions and guidance. As we do this, we see Spirit's perfect plan for supporting each child of the universe through our actions, organizations and energy.

4. “Child-Headed Household” is an official population category in South Africa. Young girls have to prostitute themselves to provide for their siblings.
We affirm:  The light of God surrounds you, the love of God enfolds you, the power of God protects you, the presence of God watches over you, wherever you are, God Is. *Prayer of Protection 

5.  95% of the worlds AIDS orphans live in Africa .
We affirm:  Africa is surrounded in a holy light. We unite to remove any ideas in the collective consciousness that hold Africa in any state of lack.

Scope of the Orphan Crisis: In 2001, a total of 34 million children in sub-Saharan Africa were orphans, one-third of them due to AIDS. By 2010, the total number of orphans in the region will top 42 million.
